Andhra Pradesh outlines multi-port and airport logistics infrastructure for MSME sector

Sep 3, 2026

Andhra Pradesh is placing its expanding network of seaports and airports at the core of its strategy to boost Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and accelerate export-oriented industrial growth, according to the state Minister for MSME, SERP and NRI Empowerment, Mr Kondapalli Srinivas, who was addressing the 116th Annual General Meeting of the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Capitalising on the state’s extensive coastline, developing deep-water ports and operational air cargo hubs, the government is establishing dedicated MSME parks across constituencies aligned with industrial corridors and multimodal transport nodes. By linking localised manufacturing clusters directly to maritime and aviation logistics networks, the state aims to reduce freight costs, streamline raw material supply chains and enhance international market access for small-scale manufacturers as part of its broader economic agenda, said a report.
